WHAT’S THE LATEST?

New for School Year 2024-25

At EVERFI, we continually listen to the needs of our educator network who use our digital resources to teach real-world skills.

Our team is thrilled to announce several new and updated digital courses for the 2024-25 school year as well as enhancements to the learning platform.

Collection
Feature

The Financial Literacy for High School Collection makes it easier for educators to provide students with financial education content aligned to standards. The Collection is a series of courses that pair well together to more comprehensively address national standards and provide an enhanced, cohesive learning experience for students. Educators can easily assign these complementary courses through a brand-new Add All to Class button.

Lock/Unlock
Feature

The lock/unlock course feature allows educators to control what courses are visible in their Students’ Dashboards. They can simply shift a course to locked to hide from students until they are ready to teach the content. Educators can then come back to their My Classes tab when they are ready to unlock the course for their students. This new feature is in response to teacher desire to have more control over their student's dashboards.

EVERFI: Financial Literacy® for High School

This newly updated financial literacy foundations course teaches students how to make informed financial decisions that promote financial well-being over their lifetime. The interactive lessons translate complex financial concepts in ways that help students develop actionable strategies for managing their finances. This course has been updated to more comprehensively address financial education standards and increase student engagement with new interactive elements.

Tax Simulation: Understanding Taxes™

This financial education course, developed in partnership with Intuit for Education, helps students develop healthy financial habits and build confidence about handling their taxes. Through a high-fidelity, guided experience navigating TurboTax tax preparation software, students are introduced to important and relevant tax considerations. To enhance the learning experience, several videos are going to be featured in the course this summer covering topics like summarizing a 1099 form and calculating tax requirements.

Marketplaces: Investing Basics™

This newly updated financial education course equips students with an understanding of how the market works and the confidence to participate in it. Through interactive real-world scenarios, students discover how investing can have a powerful impact on their lives. The updated course more comprehensively addresses financial education standards and features additional investing content, including a brand-new lesson where students learn the benefits of hiring a financial advisor.

Healthier Me: Intro to Wellness™

This new health & wellness course teaches students about many of the factors that help to keep their minds and bodies healthy. The curriculum takes an approach that focuses on overall physical, emotional, and social wellness to give students the tools they need to make healthy choices. Through a story-based narrative and interactive exercises, students explore topics like nutrition, exercise, hygiene, sleep, and the importance of healthy mindfulness and social connection.

Econ Foundations: Economics for High School™

This new financial education course explores the government’s role in regulating the economy and how it impacts the financial marketplace. Through interactive real-world scenarios, students learn about how key macroeconomic indicators determine different stages in the business cycle and how government regulation affects the economy. Students also predict how individuals and businesses will behave in a growing or declining economy.

306: Black History – Continuing the Story™

Through a partnership with The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, EVERFI is adding a fifth lesson to the course. Using a first-person narrative, the new lesson looks at the development of the philosophy of nonviolence. Learners explore connections between the ongoing struggle for civil and human rights in India in the early 1900’s, to the use of nonviolent resistance during the Civil Rights, to the use of nonviolence in the present day to confront injustices.
