JON CHAPMAN helped co-found EVERFI in '08, and now 11 years later he finds himself traveling all over the world in his role as President of global partnerships. EVERFI, a DC-based educational technology company, has partnerships with the NFL and United Way, as well as MLB and the NHL. But it's a recent alignment with the EPL that's taking up most of Chapman's time these days, as the company continues to grow. People often comment on the wonderful feeling they get when they visit our school. They exclaim, “This school feels so good,” or, “There is such a different vibe on your campus.” I usually smile and nod knowingly, agreeing with them that our school is a very special place. Recently a visitor was struck by the same thought but wanted to know more about why it feels the way it does. The answer is easy: we model, teach and practice compassion.
On Monday, the bank revealed a new online education program called "Honor Code." It was created to empower students that face or witness bullying by emphasizing values such as leadership and grit.
At EVERFI, we concluded that technology can and must be used to modernize this process and encourage adolescents to consider their social and emotional health from an early age.
