Preparing Students for Life Beyond the Classroom: What’s New from Everfi in 2026-27
As schools prepare for a new academic year, educators are looking for digital learning resources that are relevant for students, easy to implement, and meaningful in the classroom. Everfi’s latest course and platform enhancements are designed to support that need by helping schools deliver life skills education across personal finance, health and wellness, and entrepreneurship.
For the 2026-27 school year, Everfi has introduced updated educational resources and platform improvements that make its programs easier to use, more engaging for students, and more actionable for educators. These updates include refreshed courses, a refreshed Student Dashboard, student achievement badges, and an updated Teacher Dashboard designed to streamline course navigation and class management.
Helping Students Build Practical Life Skills
The updated digital learning resources span several areas that are increasingly important for student success, including financial literacy, health and wellness, entrepreneurship, and platform tools that support student engagement and educator implementation.
- FutureSmart™: Financial Literacy for Middle School (grades 6 –8) has a new visual design and storyline that puts students at the center of real-world financial decisions, while preserving the course’s evidence-based certification showing a positive, statistically significant relationship with students’ financial knowledge, self-efficacy, and behaviors.
- Vaping: Know the truth™ (grades 8–12), updated in strategic partnership with Truth Initiative, the public health organization behind the truth® youth tobacco prevention campaign, expands beyond e-cigarettes to cover additional tobacco, nicotine, and cannabis products, with deeper content on brain science, decision-making, and mental health.
- Venture – Entrepreneurial Expedition® (grades 7–10) has been reimagined with a refreshed visual design and revised content, developed in collaboration with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). The updated course reflects current entrepreneurship best practices and includes a refreshed food truck simulation where students manage costs, pricing, and promotion to run their own business.
Making Student Progress More Visible
One of the most meaningful updates for students is Everfi’s new Student Dashboard, which simplifies access to coursework, certificates, scholarship opportunities, and other learning resources. The dashboard also includes student achievement badges that allow learners to validate their progress and showcase skills built through Everfi coursework. These badges can be earned by completing multiple courses within a given topic area and comply with the Open Badges standard, allowing students to carry them into digital portfolios, resumes, and college or scholarship applications
“As educators, we’re always looking for ways to help students recognize their progress and stay engaged in learning,” said Christopher C. Chase II, Program Manager, Career & College Readiness, Tacoma Public Schools. “Everfi’s student achievement badges give students a meaningful, portable way to see what they’ve accomplished and share the skills they’re building. We’re excited to see how these tools can support student motivation and help learners showcase what they’ve achieved.”
Supporting Educators with Easier Implementation
Everfi also designed a new Teacher Dashboard experience to streamline course navigation and improve class management. The platform was updated to meet federal ADA accessibility guidelines and is fully mobile-friendly, so teachers can manage classes and monitor student progress from any device. Teachers will find the same functionality they rely on, now in a cleaner, more intuitive experience. For schools, these platform updates help make life skills education easier to bring into the classroom. For students, they create clearer pathways to engage with content, track progress, and recognize the skills they are building along the way.
Expanding Access to Life Skills Education
The updates build on a year of significant reach for Everfi. During the 2025-26 school year, the company reached more than 6.7 million student learners across 19,000 schools and 7,000 districts, delivering more than 8 million hours of learning. Half of participating schools served low- to moderate-income communities, underscoring Everfi’s commitment to expanding access to critical life skills education nationwide. As educators continue to look for ways to prepare students for the decisions they will face in school, work, and life, digital learning resources can help make essential skills education more accessible, engaging, and actionable.
