The Finance Director will work alongside EVERFI’s President and Vice President International, and the Senior Leadership team in the US, the Finance Director will be highly commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business as it enters in to a rapid period of growth and expansion, as well as being an exceptional accountant and hands-on with the company’s finances. The role of the Finance Director has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy, analysing figures and implementing recommendations based on these findings that have the largest growth and most profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, and targets
  • Play a critical part in pivoting the company’s book of business and potential business towards SaaS licenses, namely in analysing potential markets and clients, pricing models, proposals, ROI, billing cycles, and contracts
  • Working closely with, and playing an active part in all client budgeting, pricing, tenders, and contract process
  • Overall ownership and responsibility for the company’s cash management, with a hands-on approach to continuous improvement of the won through to cash cycle
  • Form a close working relationship with EVERFI’s President International and Vice President International, and other Senior Leadership in both the UK and US, providing strong and clear leadership
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff, often working with various departments to help them plan and manage their own targets and budgets
  • Work closely with the US finance team to coordinate month end, year end, quarter end and annual budgeting
  • Managing a finance and operations team, with ultimate responsibility for finance, office management, front of house, HR, and IT infrastructure
  • Overall oversight of the monthly management accounts
  • Reporting, providing analysis and presenting as needed for the Senior team and wider company monthly and quarterly meetings
  • Liaising with the US for the consolidated year end audit, as well as the UK year end auditors in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
  • Form close relationship with key suppliers, namely the bank, insurance brokers, and landlord
  • Managing all UK tax affairs, inclusive of an annual R&D claim, P11d and PSA filings
  • Managing all company compliance and ensure statutory record keeping is maintained
  • Coordinating insurance policies with the US, and UK brokers
  • Playing a key part in the HR function, inclusive of regular review of staff benefits, in tandem with the US Talent Team
  • Liaison with landlord and (re)negotiation of leases at expiry
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in an FD capacity at a SaaS company
  • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in NetSuite (preferable)
