EVERFI Certified Teacher Program
EVERFI and Bloomboard have teamed up to offer teachers the opportunity to earn a micro-credential in Financial Education instruction. Participants gain a deeper understanding of EVERFI’s critical skills courses, plan for implementation within their classrooms, and become education technology advocates in their school and district.
What is the EVERFI Certified Financial Education Teacher Program?
The EVERFI Certified Financial Education Teacher Program is a self-guided curriculum, consisting of tutorials and hands-on work, that will allow educators to earn a microcredential in Financial Education instruction.

Who can apply?
We believe that all educators play a role in ensuring students are prepared to make sound financial decisions. We will consider U.S. and Canadian teachers of all subjects in Grades 3-12, as long as they are committed and able to integrate online financial education resources into their classroom.
What do I need to do to earn the microcredential?
To earn the microcredential, teachers must watch the training videos, complete an implementation plan, reflect on their implementation, and then train a colleague. If you are interested in joining this semester’s cohort, please complete the short application form below.
What are the benefits?
Certified Teachers receive a digital badge for their email signature, resume, and website, as well as a certificate identifying them as an official EverFi Financial Education Certified Teacher.
Additionally, certified teachers are periodically invited to participate in roundtable conversations with EverFi’s curriculum design team, to give feedback on products and features, and to receive early access to beta versions of new courses.
How much does the certification cost?
The micro-credentials are externally evaluated by Bloomboard, and therefore cost $30 per certification. It does not cost anything to apply for the cohort.
How long will it take to earn the microcredential?
The total amount of time will vary by individual, but you should be able to complete all of the program requirements in about 6 to 8 hours.
I have never used EVERFI in my classroom before. Can I still apply?
Yes! We’ve designed the curriculum to be beneficial for teachers new to the critical skills movement, as well as those who have been using EVERFI’s resources for years.
When does the next cohort start?
Applications are now open for our April 2017 Cohort! Applications may be submitted from now until 4/10, and then acceptance emails will be sent out on 4/17. The program is self-paced, and participants will have eight weeks to complete the requirements.
