Over the course of this one-month challenge, students will explore financial decision making on five topics: Spending and Saving, Credit and Debt, Employment and Income, Investing, and Insurance.

After completing the five challenges, students are invited to submit a short essay and share their plans for what lies ahead after high school and how they plan to get there. One national winner will receive a $5,000 college scholarship, and their essay will be shared on the National Treasurers’ Challenge website!

Students will answer the following prompt (in 300-500 words):

What are you inspired to do after high school? How will the lessons you learned from the Treasurer’s Summer Challenge help you turn your inspirations into a reality?

One essay contest winner will receive a $5,000 college scholarship. Students may also be eligible for additional incentives offered in their state.
