EverFi Hires Veteran Sexual Assault Prevention Expert Holly Rider-Milkovich

Washington, D.C. (January 26, 2017) – EverFi, the leading education technology innovator, announced the hiring of veteran sexual and relationship violence prevention expert Holly Rider-Milkovich who joins EverFi after an esteemed career specializing in higher education, advocacy, and policy.

“Through our Campus Prevention Network, EverFi is shaping how campuses across the country engage with learners to proactively tackle sexual violence and harassment, ” said Preston Clark, EverFi President of Higher Education.  “Adding Holly’s breadth of expertise to the EverFi team at such a critical time for campuses will help create safer and healthier campus communities.”

Holly has collaborated with EverFi for over four years co-delivering presentations and workshops nationally on best practices for ending sexual violence using evidence-based, data driven approaches to create comprehensive, institution-wide prevention programs. She also worked closely with EverFi digital learning experts to help develop their Haven suite of online sexual assault prevention courses for undergraduate students, graduate students, and campus staff and faculty.

As the Senior Director of Prevention Education at EverFi, Holly will harness and deliver effective prevention strategies emerging from new research, promising practices on the ground, and cutting-edge insights from EverFi’s national data on student behaviors and beliefs.  She will also take a leading role in launching the Campus Prevention Network (CPN), a nationwide initiative EverFi is launching to bring together institutions that have demonstrated commitment to adopting the highest standards for prevention related to health and safety issues on their campuses.  Additionally, Holly will play a key role leading EverFi’s Campus Prevention Network Summit taking place in Boston this June.

“I have long considered EverFi’s approach to addressing and preventing sexual violence on college campuses to be the most effective work in the entire education technology field,” said Holly  Rider-Milkovich. “What two decades of work in sexual violence prevention and higher education has taught me is that we need bold innovation, rigorous research, and sustained commitment to prevention to transform our campus climates. EverFi has embraced these values from the very beginning, and I am honored to join them.

Prior to joining EverFi Holly served on the federal negotiated rule-making committee for the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization of 2013, helping to articulate the new Clery Act amendments. She served as the Executive Director of a three-county domestic violence prevention and services program and emergency shelter in southeast Georgia and Executive Board member of the Georgia Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence. She also led the University of Michigan’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center, an office that has received national commendation for programmatic excellence under Holly’s lead.
