About the Bee

The National Financial Bee is a nationwide financial literacy initiative for 7th-10th grade students. Sponsored by financial institutions for the students in their communities, the Bee is made up of a 5-part course and an essay contest, where students compete to win up to $10,000 in scholarship prizes.

This initiative enables financial institutions to connect with their community and provide critical financial education to students social distancing at home in a fun and engaging way.

Program Elements

Fun & Engaging Course

EVERFI has built a new course to teach students about important financial topics, from budgeting to employment. The course is made up of five 10-minute modules and a capstone essay project.

Data & Engagement Dashboard

Our data platform tracks student usage and engagement throughout the program. Sponsors will have access to this in a dynamic data dashboard and be able to report on program reach throughout their community.

Marketing & Incentives

Each sponsor receives a custom branded landing page with the course, as well as a marketing toolkit and templates to promote the Bee. Additionally, sponsors can run incentives to drive engagement.

EVERFI will host a scholarship contest to incentivize students to participate in the program. The winners will be selected based on the capstone essay submissions and will be selected by EVERFI.

A Note From Our CEO

I've always wanted to start a project like this, but the timing was never right. Today, with all the unprecedented challenges we are facing across the globe, I wanted to give students an opportunity to build their financial capability... for whatever challenge that may lie ahead.
