EVERFI Student Scholarship Guide
2017-2018

Below is a list of scholarships available to EVERFI students during the current 2017-2018 school year, along with eligibility requirements for each.

Students may apply for one or more of the scholarships outlined below, awarded by EVERFI and our sponsors. Eligibility requirements vary depending on the scholarship opportunity. Read below to determine which scholarship(s) you are eligible to apply for, then click on “Apply now” for detailed application instructions and terms and conditions.

  1. Login to your student dashboard and locate your course sponsor under “Sponsored By” on the course tile.
  2. If your sponsor is listed below and you meet the eligibility requirements, click “Apply Now.”
  3. If your sponsor is not listed below and you have completed an EVERFI course, you may be eligible to apply for the EVERFI scholarship (U.S. or Canada).

Scholarship Opportunities

Sponsor: EVERFI (U.S.)

Who is Eligible: Any student in the United States who earns certification in one of the following courses: Vault, FutureSmart, Ignition, Character Playbook, Endeavor, Future Goals, Radius, AlcoholEdu for High School, EVERFI, Venture, 306, Commons, Summer Slugger or Prescription Drug Safety

Prize: $1,000 529 College Savings Scholarship

Sponsor: EVERFI (Canada)

Who is Eligible: Any student in Canada who earns certification in one of the following courses: Future Goals – Hockey Scholar (Math or Science), Vault, Ignition, Character Playbook, Endeavor, Radius, AlcoholEdu for High School, EVERFI, 306, Commons, Summer Slugger or Prescription Drug Safety

Prize: $1000 RESP Contribution

Sponsor: Fifth Third Bank

Who is Eligible: Any student in the U.S. at schools sponsored by Fifth Third Bank who completes one lesson of either EVERFI – Financial Literacy or
Venture – Entrepreneurial Expedition

Prize: $2,500 529 College Savings Scholarship

Sponsor: ASME Foundation

Who is Eligible: Any high school senior who has completed INSPIRE (i.e. Radius, all 16 modules) at any time in the last three years.

Prize: TBD

Sponsor: AT&T

Who is Eligible: Any ChalleNGe academy cadet who has either completed Endeavor or 12 modules of Radius and plans on attending a higher education institution. (Note: AT&T only sponsors ChalleNGe Academies through National Guard Youth Foundation. This scholarship is only available to ChalleNGe Academy Cadets who have used Radius or Endeavor.)

Sponsor: BB&T

Who is Eligible: Any student in the US who completes at least 3 modules on BB&T Financial Foundations is eligible to enter the Blog Contest. Complete Legacy to be eligible for a bonus blog contest. Opens February 6, 2018 – closes April 27, 2018.

Prize: Winning students and their teachers will earn a $500, $250, or $100 Visa gift card

Sponsor: Public Service Credit Union & Colorado Attorney General’s Office (Colorado)

Who is Eligible: Students who complete the MoneyWi$er program can enter the video blog contest for a chance to win a College Savings Scholarship. Contest closes March 30, 2018.

Prizes: 

1st place: Student will receive a $750 529 College Savings Scholarship and the teacher of winning student will receive $750 grant for classroom supplies.

2nd place: Student will receive $500 529 College Savings Scholarship and the teacher of winning student will receive $500 grant for classroom supplies.

Sponsor: The Salvation Army and Target

In order to be eligible, youth must:

  1. Complete at least one TSA learning module as part of the TSA Digital Learning Program
  2. See their TSA site leader to get a parental permission form
  3. Give the signed form to their site leader to receive the contest URL and submit your short story

Contest opens March 1, 2018 – closes May 1, 2018

Prize: Two winners from each region will be eligible to win a portable touchscreen device (no more than eight winners total will be selected nationwide.)

Sponsor: Future Scholar –
South Carolina’s 529 College Savings Plan

Who is Eligible: The blog contest is open to all students who have completed or are working through the South Carolina Future Scholar Financial Literacy program in the 2017-2018 academic year. The student will be chosen by EVERFI and recognized by South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis.

The contest is open April 11, 2018 – May 4, 2018. The submission deadline is May 4, 2018 at 11:59 PM EDT.

Prize: $529 towards the South Carolina 529 Program and an invitation to the SC Economics luncheon. Teacher of the winning student will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
