The Prescription Drug Safety Network was created to bring investment, human capital, best practices, and prevention technology to schools across the nation in order to combat the opioid and prescription drug abuse crisis—with a critical focus on high-school prevention education and at-risk communities.

With one in five high school seniors reporting that they have misused prescription drugs, reaching students early is more important than ever.

  • National High School Prevention Program

The Network’s high school initiative plugs into EVERFI’s community of 20,000 schools and team of 150 former educators who activate the program alongside teachers in classrooms across the country.

  • National College & University Prevention Program

Through the support of the Network, colleges and universities across the U.S. now have access to a new online training course that uses an evidence-based, public health approach to help students make safe and healthy decisions about prescription drugs.

    Prescription Education for Adults

The Network is currently exploring digital solutions to provide “just-in-time” education to help patients understand important topics such as reading a prescription label, storage and safe disposal, the science of addiction, local resources and more.
