EVERFI’s Prescription Drug Safety Network is proud to partner with the Red Ribbon Campaign, the oldest and largest drug prevention non-profit in the nation. Red Ribbon Week, October 23rd – 31st, is an annual awareness campaign to promote drug prevention in our schools and communities. In order to support educators who are working in this area, EVERFI is providing high school educators with free digital resources, a toolkit for online and offline celebrations, and access to the latest research so you have the Red Ribbon Week activities your students need.

Lessons for Middle & High School Students
We proudly support Red Ribbon Week and recognize our secondary teachers and partners in their efforts to address the evolving challenges facing teens, not only in October but throughout the year.
Webinar
Our team sat down with Dr. Ruben Baler, a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) scientist presenting information on the neurobiology of drug use and addiction. Together with Kimberley Timpf, EVERFI’s Sr. Director of Impact & Education, Dr. Baler offers his thoughts on teen brain development, how specific drugs affect the developing teen brain, the impact of drugs on other behaviors like sleep and cyberbullying, and the connection between mental health and substance use disorders.
To close, Brian Marquis, NIDA Public Liaison Officer, spotlights NIDA resources available for Red Ribbon Week and National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week ® (NDAFW).
K12 Educators
Prescription Drug Safety is an innovative digital course that focuses on high school students, arming them with the knowledge and tools to make healthy, informed decisions. By empowering students with substance abuse prevention education at an early age, we can help the next generation stop opioid abuse.
