Empower Students to Manage Their Finances


Transit – Financial Wellness™ is designed to empower students with the skills to successfully manage their finances while in school and beyond, and minimize dropout and student loan defaults through education.  Transit equips learners with the knowledge and skills necessary for making responsible financial decisions.  Upon completing the course, the goal of Transit is to produce students who will be: 

    • less likely to default on their student loans
    • less likely to draw down more money than needed on their current student loans
    • less likely to overspend or spend beyond their budget
    • more likely to pay their bills on time
    • more likely to check their credit score
    • more likely to know and understand the terms and features of their loans, credit cards and financial account
    • more likely to set a savings goal

Course Features:

    • Interactive modules that cover key concepts around personal finance and financial aid management
    • Interactive learning activities that are personalized to each individual student based on their current financial attitudes and behaviors
    • Action Plan feature provides students with a recap of the items and information they found to be most relevant to their own financial situation
