EverFi and CampusClarity Join Forces to Launch Campus Prevention Network
EverFi is excited to share that we are strengthening our commitment to sexual violence and alcohol abuse prevention through the acquisition of LawRoom, including its higher education prevention education subsidiary CampusClarity.
The merging of our organizations brings together EverFi’s proven efficacy in alcohol abuse and sexual violence prevention in higher education with CampusClarity’s flexible digital learning platform and compliance expertise to help campuses more effectively deliver prevention education. Combined, we will reach over 1,300 campuses and 5 million students, faculty and staff in the upcoming 2016-17 academic year.
Together we have launched The Campus Prevention Network, a nationwide coalition of higher education institutions that are committed to student wellness and safety. As a vital member of this Campus Prevention Network, your campus will have access to award-winning online prevention training, regulatory compliance expertise, dynamic tracking and reporting, and groundbreaking prevention research based on the largest global dataset of attitudes related to sexual assault and substance abuse.
Over the next several months, we will work to bring together the best of both companies’ digital learning, expertise, and research. In the short term, we will continue to serve you in the high quality manner you have always come to expect as we prepare for the upcoming academic year.
We recognize that you may have questions, and we have compiled a list of FAQs below. We encourage you to direct any additional questions to your main point of contact within our organizations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is EverFi acquiring CampusClarity?
For over 10 years, EverFi has been committed to providing campus communities with the education and skills to prevent sexual assault and high-risk drinking. Through our partnership with hundreds of higher education institutions, we know that, too often, dedicated prevention professionals are working in isolation with limited resources to grow and improve their efforts and share progress. Our ongoing mission is to reach an even larger audience with our evidence-based, population-level prevention research, thought leadership, and education. Our goal is for every campus across the U.S. to participate in the network and for every student and campus employee to have access to these critical resources.
What is the Campus Prevention Network?
With over 1,300 higher education institutions, the Campus Prevention Network is the nation’s largest coalition of colleges, universities, and Greek organizations committed to addressing critical issues that impact the health and safety of campus communities (sexual assault, high-risk drinking, substance abuse, hazing, etc.). Campus Prevention Network members have demonstrated their commitment to creating safer, healthier campus communities through the use of EverFi’s evidence-based, population-level prevention education. As part of the Campus Prevention Network, member institutions will be contributing to the largest dataset in the world on students’ and employees’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors around alcohol use and sexual violence. These critical data points will provide meaningful insights and collaborative opportunities to strengthen and grow prevention efforts across the Network and beyond.

The Campus Prevention Network offers many benefits: access to proven-effective, award-winning online prevention training regulatory compliance expertise dynamic tracking and data reporting groundbreaking prevention research based on the largest global dataset of attitudes and behaviors related to sexual assault and substance abuse.
How will the Campus Prevention Network be better than what we currently receive?
You’ll notice three main differences with the Campus Prevention Network versus what you have in place now. First, your campus will have the ability to benchmark your data against more than 1,300 campuses. Second, you will be able to share with all of your campus stakeholders–students, parents, administration, and alumni–that your campus deploys the most widely adopted prevention education platform in the country. Third, you will have access to top level research, white papers, webinars and events only available for Campus Prevention Network members.
Does this news mean that the digital prevention course(s) my campus currently implements are going away?
For the 2016-17 academic year, all EverFi and CampusClarity programs will remain exactly the same. Our goal has always been to provide the best digital learning platforms for our partners and their students, faculty, and staff, and we will continue to do so. With that, we will be reviewing all of our programs to ensure that we’re offering the best of what EverFi and CampusClarity have developed and allowing your campus or organization to benefit from our suite of evidenced-based prevention approaches and top of the line compliance measures.
What does this mean for the Fall 2016 semester?
Everything will remain as currently planned for the 2016-17 implementation of courses for both the Fall and Spring semester. However, we’ll now be able to offer an even broader set of tools and resources to help further your prevention efforts.
Does this mean my campus has to use different courses?
Your campus will not be required to use different courses for the 2016-17 implementation year. Your campus will use the courses that you had intended to use, planned for, and communicated about to students and employees. We will be exploring course options for future years and will provide more detail on what our future course offerings will be throughout the 2016-17 academic year.
Does this mean my campus CAN use different courses?
For the 2016-17 year, your institution will continue to utilize the courses in which you have already invested. However, we’d be happy to talk to you and your colleagues about implementing additional courses that were previously only available through EverFi or CampusClarity. We look forward to helping you find the best prevention initiatives for your campus.
Does this mean my campus has to use a different platform?
Your campus will not be using a different platform during the 2016-17 implementation. For EverFi partners, you will continue to use the Higher Ed Partner Center (HE PC) for all of your administrative needs (customization, tracking, email reminders, additional resources, data, etc). Similarly, for CampusClarity partners, you will continue to use the CampusClarity Admin Portal and its full range of functionality. We will be reviewing both EverFi’s and CampusClarity’s platforms, and in the future may make updates to continue to provide a user-friendly administrative experience.
Does this mean that my campus will be assigned to a new person to manage our account?
The coming together of EverFi and CampusClarity should not impact your relationship with your current EverFi or CampusClarity point of contact in the short term. As we work to combine the teams, your main point of contact may change down the line, but we will ensure that you are made aware of any changes and that all important details of your account are communicated internally to ensure a smooth transition.
How will this impact the student/faculty/staff experience in the short term?
For the 2016-17 academic year, the student/staff/faculty experience will not be impacted, and your campus will implement the programs as intended for the 2016-2017 academic year. We will be reviewing all EverFi and CampusClarity programs and platforms to ensure we are providing our partners with the best we have to offer moving forward.
Will the level of service I have grown to expect from our partnership change now that you’ll have so many more partners?
We pride ourselves in the level of service and commitment we provide to our partners, and we value the deep relationships we’ve built with individuals and campus/organizational partners over the years. We are committed to maintaining the level of service you have grown to expect and to continuing to grow the relationships we have built. As we update and refine our approach, we will explore ways to continue to empower our partners to leverage the most from the resources that are provided to them as a part of their partnership.
