Washington D.C. (May 15, 2018)– Today, leading education technology provider EVERFI Inc., announced the selection of a new headquarters in Washington D.C. after celebrating significant growth in 2017, when the company secured the largest edtech investment from a global impact fund and one of the largest in the D.C. region.
“We could not be more excited to celebrate EVERFI’s expansion by selecting a new headquarters that allows our continued growth,” said EVERFI Co-Founder and CEO Tom Davidson. “Ten years ago, EVERFI was founded in a small D.C. row house with the idea that we could harness innovative, digital education to engage learners around some of the country’s most intractable issues, including financial illiteracy, student loan debt, sexual harassment and violence, and workforce access. We have executed on this vision, built a successful business, and helped millions of learners. It is only fitting our home remains in the District of Columbia to continue this journey.”
“EVERFI knows what we know – Washington, DC is the best city to do business,” said Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. “We are thrilled that EVERFI, a leader in tech and innovation and a company that knows what it means to partner with the community, has chosen to continue growing and innovating in Washington, DC.”
EVERFI will relocate its headquarters in Summer 2019 to the West End at 2300 N Street NW, where the company will occupy 58,000 square feet. Since 2014, EVERFI has been headquartered at 3299 K Street NW. EVERFI also has offices in San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago.
The D.C. Mayor’s office will provide EVERFI with over $3 million in incentives over the course of the thirteen year lease. EVERFI will continue to provide its digital learning software to partners in the City, as well as continue internships and promote open positions to D.C. residents.
In 2017 alone, EVERFI grew 40% year-over-year, welcomed over 700 customers, grew its team to over 480 employees, and reached another 7.7 million learners on its platforms. EVERFI has grown its network within its Financial Education, Conduct & Culture, Higher Education, and Global Partnerships divisions.
JLL’s Gregory Lubar and Andrew O’Brien represented EVERFI in the D.C. headquarters transaction providing real estate advisory services, lease and incentive negotiations.
