Ray Martinez is President and Co-founder of EVERFI and oversees the company’s go-to-market strategy ensuring strategic alignment between the sales, marketing, community relations, and product teams.

During Ray’s tenure at EVERFI, he has led many of the company’s critical initiatives including overseeing the development of the company’s financial education offerings that power financial capability programs for hundreds of financial institutions across the country. Ray has been instrumental in designing large scale strategic partnerships with the MassMutual Foundation, Pentagon Federal Credit Union, PNC Ban, TD Bank, Santander, OneMain Financial, Truist, and hundreds of additional financial institutions, corporations, and nonprofits. His leadership has helped EVERFI implement education programs that deliver critical personal finance, entrepreneurship, and investment education to millions of K-12 students and adults in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

Ray has deep connections to Puerto Rico and is passionate about closing the opportunity gap for children and families and bringing increasing business opportunities to the island. This has been especially important to him following the devastation resulting from Hurricane Maria in 2017. He has worked both individually and with EVERFI strategic partners in a growing commitment to rebuild key infrastructure and ensure that students have the technology and skills necessary to be competitive in a global economy. Ray serves on the National Board of Directors for the Jump$tart Coalition as well as on the Board of Directors of PROG Holdings. He is a sought-after speaker and media contributor on topics related to financial wellness education and technology. In 2019, he was awarded Washington Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Award.
