Highlights from EVERFI’s K-12 Sponsorships & Adult Learning Product Update Briefing – November 2023

It’s been a busy year across our K-12 sponsorship and adult learning solutions! We just hosted our very first of a series of new bi-annual Product Update Briefings, recapping recently released functionality and giving a peek into upcoming innovation across our education solutions. In this blog, we’ll give a high-level overview of the content we covered. Want to dive deeper? You can still register and watch the recording of our Product Update Briefing by clicking here

At EVERFI, we have aligned our development work around the following strategic themes:

Innovate

We are evolving our products to not only meet today’s needs, but to be the solutions for tomorrow’s education challenges. Our Innovate theme allows us to focus on delivering unique, revolutionary, and best-in-class solutions both now and in the future.

Iterate

We are continually responding to the needs of the industry to determine how our solutions must evolve over time. Our Iterate theme allows us to focus on the maturation of our products, processes, and infrastructure as we look to continue providing modern and relevant education content.

Engage

We actively seek out product enhancements and opportunities within the industry to move the needle forward on meaningful engagement. Our Engage theme allows us to focus on enhancements that streamline and optimize the end-to-end user experience, increasing efficiency, providing a more delightful experience, and driving participation.

Configure

We are constantly evolving both the partner and learner experiences to drive usage and a seamless platform environment for all parties involved. Our Configure theme allows us to focus on how different features can best support the goals and expectations of our partners and learners.

Expand

We want to be a leading financial education provider globally and are on a journey to expand our offerings through strategic distribution, innovation, and industry partnerships as well as greater global reach. Our Expand theme centers around using a Global by Design approach to provide updates that meet the needs of companies and employees located around the world.

We’re lucky to have a client base that is just as passionate about improving our products and processes as we are. We encourage you to continue to share your ideas with us to ensure that we’re continually helping you meet your corporation’s social impact goals.

Now for the fun part- let’s take a sneak peek at some of the highlights from our recent K-12 Sponsorships and Adult Learning Product Update Briefing!

K-12 Sponsorships:

Innovate

We’ve built new content to address emerging critical needs, including Crypto Foundations and Minding Your Money: Skills for Life. We’re also now offering an early literacy education app, WORDForce, to support parent engagement in early reading across all families.

Iterate

At EVERFI, we’ve responded to mandates in financial literacy education and new district requirements by ensuring that our course content is timely and relevant. We also continue to update our other course content to meet the rapidly changing market. Vaping: Know the truth is one of our most heavily used courses, and with the support of our sponsor the Truth Initiative, we are answering teacher’s requests to include cannabis education in addition to tobacco. Since our PUB, we’ve launched a full rebuild of our 306: Black History course with new content that still explores the lives, stories and lessons of Black Americans throughout history, but now is more comprehensive, starting the timeline prior to start of the transatlantic slave trade, including more rich history and culture, and covering recent African American accomplishments up to the present day.

Engage

We continually seek opportunities to better engage both the teacher and student learning experiences, which in turn, enable more seamless sponsor partnerships. We are providing teachers with a simpler experience for finding content, creating classes, and getting support. Addressing a top request from our educators, we’ve surfaced tracking of student progress in the gradebook. Additionally, we’re beta testing new shorter form, clearly sequenced content to improve the ease of using state standard-based content within teachers’ financial literacy curriculums.

Our focus for the platform in the next six months is strengthening our technical infrastructure.  This includes creating better mobile and tablet experiences for students, helping teachers, improving the look and feel of the learning platform, and testing new innovations with our beta program.

Adult Learning:

Configure

We know how crucial it is to provide opportunities for admins to manage their own content and create incentives to drive usage. We’ve enabled admins to deliver custom incentives and targeted content for their audience segments through the ability to create and manage your own playlists. Additionally, coming soon, a new Achieve learner dashboard will encourage return visits and personalized content recommendations. We’re releasing custom moment conversion metrics to help admins understand which custom moments are driving the most traffic to their site. Finally, we’re working on security updates for admins, including changes for lock-out attempts, and we’re introducing multi-factor authentication.

Expand

Our ever-expanding Achieve catalog has continued to grow to address critical consumer questions and to also meet the needs of the Canadian market. New Achieve modules (with Spanish translations) have been added to the content library to help users increase knowledge and build confidence to take action, including Financial Emergency Plans, Managing Your 401K, and Retirement Income Strategies.

Engage

Improvements to our data dashboard have been a major focus, as we’ve sought to highlight program data that meets our customers’ goals and that emphasizes engagement and impact from their customers. We’re also excited to release a refresh of the original “Achieve for K-12” product in early 2024, now called Achieve Foundations. This will include content updates to more closely appeal to a high-school aged audience, six new videos to help illustrate important concepts, and updates to simulations to improve the overall user experience.
