This is because they’re consumed with media or conversations about politics or the mental stress about the political ecosystem is distracting them from the task at hand, which is decreasing productivity. What’s alarming is that these results were from February 2020; the impacts of a post-pandemic world have surely deepened these sentiments.
Progressive organizations are considering how to best prepare for the effects of an election cycle while maintaining employee engagement and productivity, regardless of employees’ political views.
